Tire size 95 Deville

I have a question regarding tire size.

I have a 95 DeVille. A friend of my father's got me new tires for a deal, but the tire size is 205/65R15. The tires my car are supposed to have - according to the book, and the info on the door - are 215/70R15.

I am not exactly thrilled with the different size, since it is not what my car is supposed to have. My father thinks he is doing this HUGE favor for me, and while I appreciate the gesture, I don't want to damage my car.

I have not a clue about tires.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

are you sure it is a 15 inch, mine calls for a 225/60/16.
don't quote me for sure but I think 205/215 is the tire width and the middle number is the tire wall size, you would notice the ride would not be as smooth and you speedometer would not be accurate by as much as 5% less.
I have run differnt size tires on many cars but there are some out there that will tell you not to, you be the judge.

Yes, I checked the book, and several online places. At least I won't be too far off with the spedometer.

I am a little concerned about the ride, but I'll drive it and see.
