I am trying to replace the air filter on my car. I know where the filter goes but I just dont know how get the cover off in the car to replace the filter. Please help me... Any help would be appreciated.

I changed air filter on my 2001 just yesterday. Standing on the driver side of the car and looking into the hood I see two clips on the air filter housing. Once those are removed, the filter cover just needs to be lifted up. 2002 may be different though.

on yours u have 2 unbolt the airbox there are 2 10mm bolts on either side of the box

I could get to the 2 bolts, but I still wonder if I can use more force to lift the filter cover without damaging other connectors. It seems awfully tight, and though I can see part of the filter, I cannot pull it out..

Once you unscrew the bolts, you still need to "unhinge" the the left corners in order to open the cover. Then you will slide out the air filter towards you. I was initially unable to slide the filter out due to the fact that I did not unhinge at the left corners and was pulling on the wire sensors.
