I bought a 2001 Camry LE with 56K miles on it. I am thinking of getting extended warranty as a insurance policy in case things go really bad with the car. It costs at least $1200.
What is your opinion on extended warranty for this kind of car?
If someone owns a 2001 Camry with more miles, how much have you spent on repairs that would be covered by warranty?
If you have a extended warranty, which company did you use and how is it?
Any other suggestions will be helpful.
Regards.

i bought a ECP extended warranty on my 98 camry for $1000. it was for 3 years or 60k, wich ever comes first. last month i toook my car to the dealer and said my struts were bottoming out. the checked the car and told me i needed four struts, four mounts and sway bar bushings.i then told him i have a warranty and the struts were covered, he checked into it and said they are worn out but he cant cover them because they're not leaking but would suggest i fix it anyway. so i think the warranty is a piece of $1000 crap.i have 8000kms left on my warranty and i have had my camry for 1.5 years and didnt use the warranty at all
