My husband has a sport compact car that is his second love ;) I am looking for someone to draw a cartoon style drawing that I can have framed and give him for xmas.

I am looking for something on good paper I just want to make sure the picture doesnt get damaged .... I've never done this so I dont know anything about pencils or tools.

Just make it look good. I want it to be a decent size so I can frame it in an 8X10 or bigger, whatever works best for you.

I like the cartoon stuff, I just want his car to be noticable, I want to be able to have him say hey thats my car! What would you suggest a cartoon or actual drawing of his car?

I like Kartoons. They are fun, easy, and usually turn out better.

And as for drawing or toon, I would say both. I will draw a cartoon. Then put it in/on the computer if you like. Though a handdrawn might be cooler, IMO. And I will be starting on it tonight.

And no, I didnt do that toon on my page. The guy who did it for me is a member here, but he hasnt posted in a long time. His name is Danny, and his sn is KARTOONZ.

BTW, your husbands profile says "Transformation coming" under Future. Can I ask what he may be up to?

The "transformation" was plans to have the suspension redone with bags instead of cyclinders, change his wheels and get a paint job. I dont know if he will be doing that now he hasnt updated his profile on there in a while :)

I'll give it a shot. This Cavalier is NICE.
I don't do cartoons though but I will make a drawing of it...post it here and see what you think...if you don't like it that's ok...I still need the practice and this ride is a good challenge!!!!!

Looks good! Can you lower the wing a little tiny bit? Thats the only thing I'd ask for you to change ... besides that it looks good ... is it going to be in blue, or is that just the color you sketched it in? You guys are so damn impressive! haha

And coffinfeeder your detail to the front end looks good, at first when I looked at the car I thought it was a civic hehe but the body kit design looks exactly like whats on his car ;) :)

Sorry I couldn't get back to you sooner, but I took a, ahem, vacation. Anyway, I will still do one if you like. I can do a cartoon one. Then, you can pick the one you like best. I think. None of us get too offended if someone likes another persons drawings better. That is why we have contests. We can openly say " I like his way better" and the other don't flip out.

Anyway, just a brief history of AF S&D Section. If you have chosen one already, fine, if not, I'd be glad to do one.

Feel free to draw one i'd love to see it , I think I'm going to end up with all of them :lol: haha ... I am subscribing to this thread so whenever you guys are ready let me know ... Your 10 minute sketch will make a great drawing. I wouldn't sweat any part of it at this point. It's a sketch. Your work always comes out great. Roll with it.

He was selling it at one point and thats why that site was made. He wants to get an older car like a 68 camaro and he was goin to sell the cav to get that, but we put it on ebay and the highest bid he got was like 6800 or something, so he just decided to keep it because the air ride thats on it was 4k alone so I dont think he'd get rid of it anyway hehe

Here is the freehand sketch I did during lunch at work today, on 8.5 x 11 copy paper. Pencil sketch was about 15 minutes, I used ball point pen and black Sharpie for the outline and shading. Total time was about 35 minutes. I don't have a scanner so I had to take a picture of it.

Yeah, the drawing was a victim of "notenoughpaperitis". :lol:

I began sketching it and liked the lines too much that I figured I'd go ahead and finish it. To make it worse the HP scanner at work cut off a little more from the edge. It's only a sample, the finished drawing will be done on much bigger paper and in color.
