What's the deal with these new ground wires out on the market? They claim to make the engine run more efficiently, add up to 8 horsepower (definitely a stretch), and make idling smoother. I'm just wondering if this is a bunch of BS.

Here's a link to various listings on eBay for the item:

I've never heard of them adding as much as 8 horses...but I do know that in some cases, they can improve the ignition system...and that could add a little power...other than that, I'd think that the rest if B.S.

I'm looking to improve any little thing I can on my 98 Camry... In your opinion, would these ground wires be worthwhile for me?

How much are they asking for them? I didn't bother to check out the auction.

Not directed at anyone at all.. but, there are suckers born every minute lol. My honest opinion is that they will not increase performance, but they will not hurt performance either.. you can never have too many ground leads.. in my honest opinion this is a waste of money and effort.
