What do you most enjoy doing with your car (or used to, when you were younger), as in reaching a certain speed, playing any pranks on someone, or being able to do any cool driving manoeuvre/s, most people can’t do, that got or still gets your adrenaline pumping (without ever causing any damage to the car, or incurring any physical injury to anyone) ?

For me its stalling up at a stoplight. When you and your competition have agreed to race and you stall the car up, feeling the force of the car waiting to be unleashed as soon as the light turns green. Gets your heart pumping even though nothing is really happening, just the anticipation of what is about to happen.

For me its at like 3am (after seein the gf or hanging out with my buddies)and driving my car on the secluded backstreets and just letting loose and flying...theres nobody on the road, no cops, and im doing like 180(km +gov)...absolutely nothing beats it

Driving 40 or so mph with people a foot from my tail and then hitting it in second and leaving them behind gets my adrenaline going. It's just so fun. Any close races too.

Taking the run from turns 5-10 at VIR flat out in the dark and catching cars that a Miata really shouldn't be catching there. You can't see where you're going, and in each direction change you crest a hill so the car gets light on each direction change.

Racing period. Im in a bronco so i lose a lot but its still fun and still gets the blood pumping. Especially when the pipes open up and start screaming.

Running over furry wildlife on the country roads out by my house going about 90 MPH... Watching the little bunnies try to hop away on 2 or 3 legs is priceless after getting hit.

i really like sticking it in my exhaust pipes and having fun with the shifter. that gets my heart a poundin!

nah, a 2nd gear drop anywhere from 50-60mph gives me a good feeling.

Racing with a car that's a sleeper...... Nothing like putting cocky people in there place :lol2: Did it for a while with a 92 Saturn, burnt that sucker out....... now I'm in a BMW - BUS METRO WALK :disappoin

there's nothing that comes anywhere close to autocross, if you've never tried it you really have to.

street racing with a really close race, the close races are the best and really get your adrenaline rushing.

1. Doing a 5.5k launch
2. 3rd gear 4k in rpms and both turbos fully spooling
3. 140mph in 4th and still accelerating with a SC Cobra right next to you (best of all)

going home from my girls and hitting the backroads doing 120 straightaway with no cops and no traffic.... nothing like the thrill of it with the sunroof down...

that and doing some drifting on a damp road (auto people... no easy ebrake or anything) solo of course.. never with anyone around... i'm cool, but not stupid..

that and when your girl lightens up about speeding and having her get involved too screaming "faster faster" watching the dial move past the 120 mark on the interstate begging the cops to not be out tonight, hoping the radar works 100% and just cruising at my top speed of 150 (only done it twice.. one to see if i could, adn teh other to prove to someone else i could.... )

taking first timers along for a race in my 3000, its kinda funny but after that most of them become obsessed with them.

For me, a few miles from down from campus is this road called "*** ******" that is a very hilly very twisty back road that leads to a reservoir. So naturally its NEVER being driven on, especially at night.

I love to push it there because the turns come so quickly one after the other that i never seem to shift out of 2nd except for on one short straight. Its like a hilly autocross course.

I go out there when im having a bad day to work out some agression. I also like to practice my launches because that road is miles from anything so no one can hear me.

Edit: I took out the name of the road because there are way too many automotive enthusiasts in my area and I like having that spot to myself.

amen to that, autocross is one of the funnest things i've ever done. i've gotten up to 110 on a lonely straightaway a couple times. but speed in a straight line is nothing compared to speed going around corners.

I'll leave that to you guys! I don't think the truck would handle the curves very well with the DRs on back. Although, it would be cool to set it up for autocross. It would cost a fortune to set up the suspension to even try it, though. :smile:

Not being able to use first gear at all really when the turbo spools. Hearing the tires squeal at 40mph when the turbo spools(those are the only things that open diff. is good for). Being sucked into your seat when the turbo spools. Spooling the turbo. Hearing the wastegate open. Hearing the BOV. Taking unsuspecting friends for a ride "punch it". Driving around(gets boring). Having people ask me if I installed everything myself and then asking how old I am. I love the strange looks I get when the turbo is whining or my BOV goes off in town(its a V8 biased town, what can I say). Having people ask if my car is posessed because it "Just now shut off,"(turbo timer). Having people ask what all these gauges are. Smoking ricers really bad(doesn't really get my adrenaline going though). Anything above 100mph is pretty cool. I love to rip third though. That is one of my favorites. This may not fall into the category, but I love to watch sport bikes take off on the street. I get somewhat of an adrenaline rush just watching those damn things. My god they're fast.

Having a jack slip while you're under the car. Thank god I had that second jack under there too.

Paranoia pays off sometimes.

Granted I didn't enjoy that, but that really got my adrenaline going ;)
