I have a 91 Camry with a 4-cyl. 2L, 3S-FE, engine. Above the oil filter there are 2 silver pipes. If you folllow them over to the left an inch or 2, where they attach to(the same thing the thermostat is in), it's leaking coolant from either the back edge of the connection or something behind it. I can't tell.

Any ideas what it might be? It looks like I'd have a lot of stuff to take off before I could get to the pipes and the part it goes to.

Probably a seal or gasket. The thermostat uses a rubber seal, the others a light resin fiber. Check the hose going to the housing for leakage from a hairline crack etc. If you decide to take it apart then take the oil filter off to make wrench access easier. Check the metal housing for gashes or rust holes.

Now one of the freeze plugs is leaking. I'm going to have to take of the water by-pass pipes to fix everything. Is there anyway to do it without taking alot of other stuff off?
