Just got the tranny fixed, it was ok, then the alternator went.. brought it into the shop.. fixed it now the van will turn over but NO SPARK.. they said they're stomped.. should I bring it eslewhere? Anyone have any suggestions I could pass along to these guys? any ideas would be helpful thanks MC hundahunta 11-09-2004, 10:45 PM what about injector pulse. do you have power going to the coil...the asd relay powers all of the injectors and coil... the cam and crank sensors trigger ground side VIA the pcm bobcat2001 11-10-2004, 08:15 AM Chances are the crankshaft position sensor (in the tranny) was hooked up loosely and fell off. Check you engine codes, for this problem they will give error codes. Turn ignition key on, off, on, off, then leave in on position (don't try and start it). Wait a few minutes and list all the codes. They will flash out with the check engine light. The first one will be 12 (battery disconnected recently) and at the end it will be 55 (end of codes). i.e. error 12 will be service engine soon light will flash once, wait a second then flash twice within a second. Error code 54 is (5 flashes of service engine light, pause, then 4 flashes of service engine light). If you have this it means no crankshaft signal received when engine was turning over. If no crankshaft signal present then the PCM (computer will not spark the plugs). If you buy the Haynes repair book ($20 CDN). It will have all the codes listed. Post them here and I will check them in my book if you want. Bobcat MissConduct 11-10-2004, 03:47 PM They found it.. was a pinched wire.. heh..
