Jeep_Rubicon 11-07-2004, 02:11 PM Sweet, looks awesome, you use a grid? What kind of pencils do you use, great detail. Alex, you may have some competition. Kile 11-07-2004, 02:36 PM Sweet, looks awesome, you use a grid? What kind of pencils do you use, great detail. Alex, you may have some competition. thanks.. yes, i used a grid. derwent pencils were used, 2b, 3b, 4b, 5b.. and i wish i had access to a scanner, there's more detail in the lights and wheels that can be seen in that picture. HighOctaneNOSUser 11-07-2004, 02:44 PM Looks sweet man, but please post in the right section next time. lancerevoRS 11-07-2004, 02:54 PM damn that looks sweet! You must be like me, getting darn tired of spending so much time to do a realistic graphite work? I have 3 un-finished like yours. :) I may never finish them. Welcome to the forum. al Ra_15 11-08-2004, 02:43 PM Great shading! You should definatly finish it. I love the tire tread and the headlights. Sccrplyr06 11-08-2004, 06:23 PM Man that is awesome. How do you get it so dark, that always seems to be my problem. GAMsALeh 11-08-2004, 07:02 PM To get it dark you just keep layering the graphite on to the paper over and over and over again, very long process but it gives good results, but do not press on hard because it leaves marks and damages the paper. A 2b mech pencil would be ideal for this process, no need to use anything softer, and keep the shading as tight as possible. Like i said finish it and frame it. It looks awsome. :) MBTN 11-09-2004, 08:52 PM Damn dude. That thing is going to look like a photograph! Kile 11-09-2004, 09:23 PM thanks everyone.. i'm going to try and make some time so i can work on it a little more next week.. r34-gts 11-13-2004, 05:28 AM Man thats real nice i think i might get back into drawing now! I cant wait til you finish it! stuffbyalex 11-13-2004, 04:51 PM Kile, your drawing looks awesome! The realism, detail and use of dark tones are incredible. How long have you been drawing for and what paper are you using? BTW: finish it! Sometimes you have to really push yourself to finish a drawing that's taken alot of hours to do, but you'll be glad when you complete it. Looking forward to seeing more of your work around in the forum here. Alex vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
