My 2000 chevy venture overheat, I already changed the coolant but still overheat, cooling fan takes too long to work, somebody told me that it's the computer sending signal to cooling fan to work,

I wonder If there is any way I can reset the computer of this van, because that's not my only problem, I also have a problem on hard shifting too, Please help...........

I appreciate any suggestion thank you very much

I had a similar problem with my 97 overheating, and could never find the problem because it was sporadic. changed the coolant, thermostat ect, ect. I found when it would start overheating I would put the heater on for a minute and it would cool down. good luck

You should be able to reset the computer by unplugging the battery for about 15 minutes, and reconnecting it. How high does your temp gauge get before the fan comes on?

I don't know the temperature before the fan comes on but the gauge pointed 1/4 before hit the red zone, it goes 3/4, and I did follow your advise about resetting the computer by unplugging the battery for 15 minutes, and I think it works, it don't kick anymore when shifting gear
and it doesn't overheat,
