Rough idle only while sitting in park. As soon as I give it gas, it levels out real nice. Any ideas????????

Check for a Vacum leak. Try cleaning the throttle body and IAC. Does your Check engine light come on?

Barder23, You probably want to check out your m.a.p sensor and t.p.s sensor first, since the both of them can contribute to your rough idling. Just pull off the vacuum from the m.a.p sensor and see if it stays the same or changes. Unhook the t.p.s and see what it does too! and if it hasn't been done in a while, a tune up with spark plugs, wires, rotor and distributor, air filter, oil change, and fuel filter. I just got a XJ and the oil hadn't been changed in a good while, it was idling pretty rough then i changed it, added some lucas oil stabilizer and it made a difference in smoothing that rough idle and gaining its performance/power back.
