1992 Lincoln Town Car. I need to remove the driver side interior door panel. I have removed three screws one on each edge near the top and the one in the door handle recess and I have pulled out all the "tree" type devices that hold the panel to the door frame. I am unable to lift the panel up to clear the window ledge. There are more screws some where that are still holding the panel in place. One post here for a 91 towncar said that there two screws under the pull-strap and to release the strap by pushing in on the end hardware and lifting the trim off to expose the screws underneath the trim. This woun't work for me as I can not push the ends of the strap hardware at all, they wont move. any suggestions on how to find and remove what ever is preventing me from lifting the panel to remove it from the door? Thanks,

To get to the screws that hold the strap you have to use a little knife to pry out the plastic covers. Just get an edge under the plastic an lift it should just pop out. Remove those 2 screws, & the screw under the chrome handle. Sounds like you got the one by the column. You also have to use a little pry bar to pop out the 12 black plastic push in groumets. You can use a screw driver to get those out but its easier with the pry bar. Hope this helps.

Hi notaryman, Thank you very much. I had pried on the plastic covers and they did not come off easily and I was afraid I would break them. I'll give it a more forceful try. Thanks again, Sam
