rx7 vs z28 1996zexel42015 11-05-2004, 10:40 PM I think it would be a good race but im not sure. rx71996 z281996 D3rELiC 11-05-2004, 11:17 PM you'd need an rx7 96 first, they havnt been sold since 95 in america. Soyo 11-07-2004, 08:36 PM I Am Gonna Freaking Go Crazy!!! Stop Doing Car Cmoparison Threads, They Aren't Even Informative! drftk1d 11-08-2004, 08:47 PM OKAY PEOPLE? WANNA COMPARE A RX-7 AGAINST ANOTHER CAR!!!! YOU'RE IN LUCK, SINCE AUTOMOTIVEFORUMS.COM HAS ITS VERY OWN FORUM DEDICATED TO THAT. HERE YA GO: http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=666 FCsilvia 11-09-2004, 02:27 PM a good race?? i'd bet all my money on the FD3S. Z28s are slow, heavy pigs. I can take them with my TII. My goal is to beat a Z06 on the track. I'm getting close. Soyo 11-09-2004, 05:48 PM yea, Z28's are lucky to run 15 flat stock, and with an exhaust the don't do much more NuTbAgSaN 11-10-2004, 02:33 AM ^ actually my younger brother got a 2002 35th ann which blows away just about anything. stock, but they`re supposed to have 345, i dont know, all i know is that it goes. most z`s do suck though. that is true drftk1d 11-10-2004, 07:16 PM I was under the impression that z28's were quick... :dunno: Soyo 11-10-2004, 11:10 PM they have like 250 horses but they weigh like 3350 lbs I think. they have almost 300 lbs of torque I think though so they do some pretty burnouts lol my friend has a 96 with an K&N and flowmasters and he beat our friends stock 98 Mustang GT by a little over a car length and the guy ran his GT at 15.1.... both are autos though so I'm sure sticks can go a bit quicker Master Hiko 11-19-2004, 10:32 PM they have like 250 horses but they weigh like 3350 lbs I think. they have almost 300 lbs of torque I think though so they do some pretty burnouts lol its 285hp, 325 torque, and the weight is about right. i would hardly call them slow but the fd should be able to take it assuming theres a good driver Xbox2202 11-20-2004, 09:17 PM The 285hp rating is for the LT1 93-97 Z28's. The 98-02 have an LS1, and it is faster than the LT1. The engine has at least 300hp, and I think about 350-375 torque. You all are putting it down way too much, it's heavy, but it packs a lot of power. I think it would be a pretty close race, stock vs stock, but with a modified engine, I would probably give it to the Z28. *Note, I like both the Camaro and RX7, but they are hella hard to find around here, especially one of the last generation, so I have a little bias, but not too much. Soyo 11-21-2004, 02:45 AM stock Z28's run 15 flat man, sorry but stock vs. stock it just isn't gonna win if the 7 has a decent driver, why does this continue? Master Hiko 11-23-2004, 03:30 PM ...i would hardly call them slow but the fd should be able to take it assuming theres a good driver ok i said that and then u said.... ...stock vs. stock it just isn't gonna win if the 7 has a decent driver, why does this continue? ask urself y this continues since u bumped my post like u just came up with this idea yourself. the conclusion had already been made that its a drivers race with the FD edging out b4 u came so stop being a hypocrite/smartass.....noob D3rELiC 11-23-2004, 04:55 PM according to this site : http://www.missouri.edu/~apcb20/times.html a 96' z28 does 14.1 and these are the time given for the rx7 1993 Mazda RX-7 14.0 1993 Mazda RX-7 R1 13.9 1994 Mazda RX-7 14.0 1994 Mazda RX-7 Touring 14.5 1995 Mazda RX-7 R2 14.1 vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
