OK, i'm in the market for a nice lil sporty car, and would really appreciate a second oppinion here. Here are the three that I have narrowed it down to

1) 1998 Eclipse GSX @ $10,000
Fully loaded
70k miles
new Tranny, clutch plate, brake pads and rotors
Dealer maintained with receipts of everything

2) 2002 Acura RSX @ $13,500
base model
50k miles

3) 1995 Eagle Talon TSI AWD @ $7,500
Fully loaded
76k

Now i'm basing my decision on Price, Performance potential, and Reliability. This will be a daily driver, but a weekend sleeper. I know the RSX will be the most reliable car, but the money saved from the Eclipse or Talon I was going to put aside for repair costs. So, I'm pretty sure this would outweigh the Acura's advantage there.

Right now i'm leaning more towards the GSX because of the AWD, Age, I know it has been maintained well, and I'm pretty sure that when I go to tune the car it would be a lot cheaper.

I'd like to hear what anyone has to say about this choice I have though.

I say the GSX has the most potential. If the RSX would be the Type S, than it would be a harder decision, but I would definetely go with the GSX.

Skip over the older Talon. They had serious engine shortcomings in those years. Rings would crack, cylinder walls would score, not pretty. Mitsubishi was having troubles then so I'd steer clear of that one.

The Talon Tsi and the Mitsubishi GSX are almost in all senses the exact same car. and yes the earlyer engines had a few probs, but whats the worst that can happen you get crankwalk, and then you have an excuse to drop a 6 bolt motor in. :grinyes:
