I own a Ls integra with a jdm type R engine swap. I drag race and i am looking for the best gain to give me the best time slips. People tell me i should stick to all motor but is there anyone out there who has a all motor type r that can tell me how much gain they have from the mods completed?
Everyone knows the gains of forced induction are great but to do so i would have to lower my compression. I dont mind and have a very god turbo kit lined up and ready to purchase. Money isnt a issue so does anyone have any advice on what i should do with my engine to get its maximum performance?

you can turbo the type r motor but you cant go really high and you have to have it tuned good

maximum performance? Rip off your Type-R head, P&P in along with a 5 angle valve job and new valvetrain. Stick in on a B20 bottom end that has been completely rebuilt with forged everything and a 8.5 CR. Get a standalone management system. Turbocharge.

This probably isn't the best way to do it. But you'll be damn fast with this setup.

screw the b20 they break too easy. take the previously mentioned head and stick it on a b18b bottom that has been sleeved and built

You don't get a type-r motor and put a turbo on it. You don't deserve your motor. You're a stupid rich kid who needs to start using his head. Built na cars generally beat turbo cars on the street. Turbo cars get the advantage on the track with slicks or drag radials. If you were smart you would keep that motor na. Port and polish the head, skunk 2 cams and valvetrain, raise the compression a little, balance and blueprint, stand alone fuel management, and all the boltons. You will rev up to 10,000-10,500 rpm, it will sound cool as shit, and will be fast as hell. Between 230 and 250 whp.
