The hardest parts of removing the (trim) panel is getting to the retaining bolt that is under the power window switch panel AND removing the trim behind the door handle WITHOUT breaking anything. Here is what you do:

1) Use a small screwdriver to pry off the plastic trim behind the door handle. Pry where you see what appears to be two small holes at the very front of the trim piece.

2) Pry up power window switch panel and disconnect electrical connector.

3) Remove retaining screws (2).

4) Use a "trim removal tool" (only a few $ at auto stores) to detach the panel from the door around the edges. If done carefully, you will not damage the plastic trim retainer pins (push-in type).

5) Once all the retainers are loose, pull the bottom of the trim panel out (about 10 inches) and then carefully lift the panel up. It should come loose.

Once the panel if off, there are three screws (bolts) that hold the mirror on. The rest is up to you!

PS. You will probably have to remove the plastic water shield to get at the electrical connector for the mirror. Remove it slowly & carefully and don't get any of that "goop" on you. :p

Good Luck,

Greg A.
