radiator fan oncanoesund 11-01-2004, 03:40 PM I have a 1993 6-cylinder five speed Camry. The hydraulic radiator fan runs continually. Is that normal? rwood13 11-01-2004, 03:50 PM I beleive the radiator fan is electric and it should not run all the time, sounds like a short or stuct relay Camry93 11-01-2004, 09:24 PM If you connect a jumper wire on the data link connector under the hood betweem the E1 and OP1 the fan should run approx 1100 rpm. If you pick up a Haynes manual it describes further how to test these systems. FYI 1992-94 V6 Camrys came with hydrauliclly driven cooling fans. rwood13 11-02-2004, 01:29 PM sorry about the miss-information, lean something new everyday. What was the hydraulics supplied from? Camry93 11-02-2004, 05:47 PM NP, I had never heard of a hydraulic driven fans either until i got my 93 V6. It is driven by the Power steering pump and has a modulation valve that controls the speed. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
