well i just bought the replacement airbags for my eclipse off ebay.I paid $78 shipped for both bags and the module. The only thing is they are out of a avenger so ill have to stare at a dodge emblem.. but I figure hell I have the dodge motor so who cares lol... peace

Put a peice of duct tape across the emblem and pretend its not there. :smile:

Get a red marker and fix that problem.

Who are you having install them? because i asked my local mitsu dealership about the cheapo ones on ebay and they said they wont install them because if i got in another crash and they were to not go off and i died, it would be there fault.

yea that happen to me too. they didnt want to replace em. so they wouldnt be responsible.

Kinda changing the topic, but is it possible to repair just the cover of the passenger airbag? On mine, the corners on the cover are lifted up... looks like someone was picking at them. Its not bad, but kinda ugly. Anyway to fix that?

yeah bend the mo fos back down... thats what we did on mine.. cant tell the passenger bag ever blew

how would you keep it down from not poping back up? Would you use some kind of glue or what?

mine hase the same thing its bent up on all 4 corners

if its bent up from the airbag blowing then rip the cover off of the frame that holds the gas and what not and bend it back to contour the dash. then take some sort of string (i used speaker wires) and tie it down inside the dash somewere. (so it looks like normal)

if the corners are popped up and it didnt blow.. im guessing you have the same problem my new bag has. the foam on the edges seperated so they stick up a bit. im planning on just taking some sort of adhesive and glueing them bak down.. mabye some hobby glue or something.

My airbads didnt blow tho. The corners are just up. Like I said, it looks like the people (dumbass) who had the car b4 me were picking at it. They werent the brightest ones, thats why Im paying for it now. Anywho, I cant just fold down. Its just the vinyl(?) dashcover. I dont want to rip the bad out, b.c. it prob wont work after the fact.

I didnt finish reading helliveknow post. That sound like a good plan. Need something strong and super quick drying. Ill see what I got.

you know that estes model glue stuff? imma try that... drys in like a minute if i remember right. its that stuff that comes in a orange tube..

also when I had to replace my ecu it had to be programmed at a dodge dealership! so... ?

ya but that type of glue is for building car models, and it REALLY REALLY sucks at holding stuff long term and withstanding temprature changes. You might want to use something more permanent like epoxy (very little tho :biggrin: ) as opposed to that glue.. That glue also tends to dry like rubber, so it may as well deteriorate again.

yea chrysler makes dodge... but dodge doesnt make eclipses or talons, thats why when you see the stamp on the car or on the motor its the chrysler symbol. although this is only on the 95-99 GS and RS models!
