'92 Lumina Cruise Control Quit

I have a '92 Lumina Sedan 3.1 with almost 150k on it. I got into an accident last week and dinged my driver's side fender good (had to have the headlight replaced and the wheel well banged out). The impact crushed my horn into my battery causing the battery to start leaking. I took the car to Sears Auto today to have the battery replaced. When I drove home, my cruise control did not work (it has worked since the accident). Is there any way the diagnostic test shorted something out? Or did replacing the battery disconnect/move/sever/etc anything?
Second, I drive a lot of highway each week and I use my cruise constantly. Any suggestions on how to fix it? It it's something simple my brother can probably do it, but simple layman's terms would be nice.
Thanks!

check for broken or unhooked wires, unhooked or cracked/deteriorated vacuum lines, and the fuse.
