I smell gas inside and outside my car whenever in on. If my car is off for a couple of hours, it takes like 5 to 15 seconds to start. I think I can hear the gas pump, pumping the gas to the engine when its cranking up. Has anyone had this problem is think they know what this could be. Please Help.

if you remove the 4 bolts holding the northstar engine cover you will see the fuel rail. there is a recall to fix them as they leak. contact your dealer with your vin# the fuel pressure regulator also leaks often it is on the front pass side of the engine at the end of the rail with a vac line attached to it. if you remove the vac line and fuel is in it it will need to be replaced. get it fixed. it is the cause of the long crank.
