ok 95 geo tracker no instrument lights tried putting a 89 dash in and something popped unsure what it was as all fuses are fine and fuses under hood are good too
we took the origional dash and took it apart and replaced the coolant gas guage and tachometer with one from a 91 or an 89 they looked identical when we took them apart only the back plugs were different any suggestions on how to fix this or similar problems

i figured the no dash lights problem the dimmer was malfunctioning so
heres a good tip if u dont want to buy a new switch take a 7.5 fuse and bend one of the termineals sideways like this |- so it looks like that and plug it in to the simmer switch plug and boom ur fixed :) make sure u tape it up and since its a small fuse it will pop way beofre the wires get hot so ur in the clear
ill let yous know what i find as far as the tach and gas guage not working
the tach when u start the car jumps to 3000 and works when u hit the gas but it doesnt read right
