Squeak in Front of TB RonboP 10-28-2004, 02:16 PM
I have an 03 TB with 13,000 miles on it. When I turn into an uneven driveway it makes a loud squeak from the front of the TB. Also, I can be going along very slowly and turn the steering wheel real fast from side to side and it mades same squeak. Also, I can open the door and stand on the door sill and jump up and down and hear the squeak as well. Anyone else with this problem and if so are there any TSB's out on it. Thanks Ronbo thejacobhartman 10-28-2004, 02:18 PM its still under warranty so instead of trying to fix it yourself, take it to a dealer. billqual 10-31-2004, 02:54 PM Try lubing your hood latch, I have to lube my 02 every couple of months. CoachPotato 02-24-2005, 12:30 PM Try lubing your hood latch, I have to lube my 02 every couple of months. Thank you billquall! In a hundred years I wouldn't have thought of that, but that's all it was. A little bit of grease and the squeak is gone! Dale billqual 02-24-2005, 12:57 PM Thank you billquall! This seems to be a common problem on 03's. cleslie9 01-09-2007, 09:37 AM I had the same problem. My Trailblazer is an 03. They tightened all my sway bars because they were all loose and said they fixed the problem. Eventually they told me I would need to replace them because of a bad design. The squeak was still there. I finally got a tech to hear it. He found the hood to be loose. maxwedge 01-09-2007, 10:15 AM I had the same problem. My Trailblazer is an 03. Please look at the age of the posts before replying, this is way beyond the 90 limit for new replies, thanks. shawnph 01-27-2007, 01:00 AM Mine used to squeak just like this. I tried lube but it didn't help. All I ended up doing was raising the hood stops by turning them a bit by hand. These are the 2 little rubber pieces on the front to hold that hold the hood tight. If you keep squeaking, they're too loose. Raise it up just a little to make it a tighter fit when it's shut. jak8005 03-28-2007, 09:57 AM Wish I would of known that.. I spent $125 at the dealer as a last resort to find that infamous squeek that was driving me crazy. They greased the hood latch.. Viola!
