Wire routingrrdstarr 02-20-2002, 08:18 PM I don't know if this is an original usee for this tool, but I'd thought I'd share it anyway! I hate using a coat hanger to pull wires through the firewall so tonight I used my flexible pick up tool, with the spring steel claws. I just punched a little hole in the grommet, expand the spring jaws. Let them collapse and pull the wire right through. I think this a better tool because it doesn't collapse like a coat hanger, its more rigid!http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/779095Flexibletool.jpg rrdstarr 02-20-2002, 08:20 PM ChuckH 02-20-2002, 08:46 PM Uh, what are we wiring? :D rrdstarr 02-20-2002, 08:49 PM Radio Shack In/Out thermometer! Just had to pull the probe through the firewall. ChuckH 02-20-2002, 08:51 PM I was just going to post that I figured it out after looking more closely to the end of the wire. BTW, I'm at work and just leaving. TTYL! Snoopy 02-21-2002, 01:39 AM I've used a wire feeder but that seems like a better idea. Thanks for the info. imcougar 02-21-2002, 02:15 PM I have been using the fish wire:) Xlax 02-21-2002, 05:48 PM Rick, do you use that thing for other things besides pulling wires?. In/Out thermometer !!!. I did not know you are now living in your truck. :flipa: brad77 02-22-2002, 02:16 AM dammit...had to post this twice. here goes: It's hard to tell from the pictures, but isn't the outside temperature sensor mounted in the engine "bay?" Wouldn't engine heat affect the readings? I heard somewhere (don't ask where) that most car thermo sensors are mounted near the ground to avoid heat sources. rrdstarr 02-22-2002, 09:15 AM No the sensor is out under the ARB away fron engine heat. The sensor has 10' feet of cord so you can put it wherever. brad77 02-22-2002, 12:20 PM Gotcha...very cool. I knew I was missing something. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
