My battery died on me the other day. I was an hour away from home. Of course I didnt have my AAA card on me. Thank goodness my friend found hers. They came with a portable jumper thing. Then it was fine. Nothing was left on except my cell phone that was charging in the cig.lighter thing. Is it time for a new battery? I have a 2000 Montana, what is the battery duration? thanks

Yes, your battery is almost 4 years old and you have probably gotten your money's worth out of it. The average battery only lasts 3-4 years anyway. A new battery will only cost around $60 to $70 (for a good one) if you want the ultimate battery purchase an Optima. Costs more but will outlast most batteries. Have a yellow top (deep cycle) in my Grand Prix GTP. Great battery!

I agree. GM says these sealed batteries are supposed to be good till 100K miles, but then again they also say that about the alternator. Go to WalMart and use their little computer thingy to pick out the battery you need. Get the bigger battery (more cold cranking amps). Their batteries (for these vans anyways) come with a 3 year replacement warranty, and they are great at honoring it. I've got them in two of my other cars and dead or not, i replace them every year for free!!
