valve spring compressortfoti 10-24-2004, 12:46 AM i need a valve spring compressor that actually fits my head, a 90 talon tsi. i've tried 3 different ones, none of which would fit. so i am asking what compressor you have used that works well with the 4g63 head? i checked out the ones of vfaq, but i am not the most handy person in the world and would probably cut my finger off using a grinding wheel. i would turn to those as a last resort. any replies would be appreciated, thanks kjewer1 10-24-2004, 03:05 AM I had the same problem as you, none fit or none worked. I ended up saying screw it and took it to the machinist. He charges me next to nothing to dissemble a head. tfoti 10-24-2004, 01:16 PM i was thinking that too, but all i am doing is replacing the seals and re-grinding the seats with grinding compund which wouldn't take that long for each valve. anybody else ever find one that worked? 1stGenRocks 10-24-2004, 03:46 PM you could check the dsmtrader services section and see if a machinist would make you one of the valve spring compressor like the vfaq. or check with a local machine shop. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
