A/C condensation leaks inside

Condensation pools up in '99 Montana with dual A/C... soaks the carpet when running one or both A/C's. How do you find the condensation drain pipe and how do you unplug it? Some water drainage occurs around holes in unibody, but nowhere near enough and there does not seem to be a "drainpipe". (Am assuming factory properly assembled with a drainpipe, but we have moved from dry climate to Houston and now seem to need to bail a quart of clear water every week, rain or shine.)

The drain should be located on the firewall on the passenger side of the car. Crawl under the van and look up on that side. It will usually have a small rubber L shaped tube connected to it or it will look like a round opening. Use a long metal rod, similar to a long drill bit or a piece of metal coat hanger will often do the trick. Remove the rubber L and insert the hanger into the hole. Push it around and you should get the hole to open. A lot of crud gets down inside these things and they get plugged frequently. Watch out for a lot of water if it unplugs for you.

Found the drain... black 1/2" plastic pipe about 18" up from floor about center of firewall, best reached on passenger side. Some insulated tubing was in front of the pipe and may have been blocking any flow. Also used a small wire to poke around inside the pipe but only clear water dripped out. Hopefully it will drain better now. THANKS, GTP Dad!

That's what should have happened. Hopefully, the problem is solved and the AC will drain properly now. If not you may need to take the cowling off and reach down inside the vent to see if there is any crud like leaves and other debris blocking the drain from the inside. Good Luck!

I have a 2000 Montana and am having the same problem. I located the drain tube (a real stretch to get to) and poked a wire in but seem to get to the end of the tube and nothing comes out. I seem to hit the end. Where is the cowling that I will need to access to get to from inside? Thanks
