Thanks for the help DRDISQUE....maybe you can answer this, is it easy to get to and replace, and when you say under the windshield, I assume you mean inside the car and not under the hood? eibrown 10-23-2004, 07:17 PM Thanks for the help DRDISQUE....maybe you can answer this, is it easy to get to and replace, and when you say under the windshield, I assume you mean inside the car and not under the hood? DisneyVK 10-23-2004, 11:16 PM just be very gentle with the plastic screws holding down the windshield cowl, they break easy if your heavy handed. mwt 10-24-2004, 11:33 AM The screws are 90 cents apiece at Ford. I changed the filter on my 99 on friday and whoever had it off before broke every screw. btw it takes 8 screws for the whole cowling . it is two piece. Also spray the filter down with fabreeze before you install it. It will make the car smell good Mike :smokin: LarryKL 10-24-2004, 04:40 PM The plastic screws and retainers are available at auto parts stores under the name of Dorman or Motormite Help!, both have the same pn - #41099 and come 5 or 6 to the package. The Fabreeze sounds like a good idea. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
