ABS, Traction Control, and no 1st gear?? on 95 Concours (Post #13 (http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=2380955&postcount=13))
a few days ago on my 1995 Deville Concours I suddenly got an ABS light, the traction disabled warning, and the car began to be very sluggish when starting from a stop.

It didn't take long to find that even when manually attempting to shift into 1st gear it refused to do do. I assumed I had a hard fail and was about to run off to the mechanic when the warning lights went out and everything worked well, even the transmission. That lasted several hours around town and then it failed again. Does anyone have any ideas what could intermittently cause all of this??

Also, in the course of trying to troubleshoot this problem I looked at my OBD codes. I am also wondering why my codes don't match the OBD-I or OBD-II codes that I have found on the internet? For example I have a T042 code but T041 is as close as I can find.

I dont know if this will be much help but on my moms 93 Deville the same thing happened ABS Light, Traction Control and the take off from a stop I thought that the transmission was going out but after we took it to be checked out the mechanic replaced a fuse and it has been doing great since. Hope this gives you a start. KC

You don't happen to know what fuse it is and where it is located do you? I checked the fuse in the panel in the trunk but it was good. I am really thinking along the lines of a loose connection somewhere since it was good, then bad, then good, now its bad again.

Also, does anyone know where the TCS module is on a 1995 Deville Concours??
