what gives it fasterJ_Dubb04 10-20-2004, 09:58 AM alright check this out. I gotta 1993 Honda accord. It only has a a cool air intake right now, but in a couple of months it will be even better. I know i want to put either the new flowmaster import series or either the magnaflow catback on it. But i dont really know what else could make it quicker and sound better besides a turbo charger. If u could tell me some things i could do to it. blacknight 10-20-2004, 04:45 PM Simple bolt ons (Intake/header/exhaust) won't make your car much faster. Yes, you will gain hp because your car is breathing a little better but not in a way where you will feel an extreme jump in power. The only way to go so you'll feel a noticeable difference in power is some type of head work, or forced induction (turbo/Supercharger/spary) or an engine swap. scubawrstlr 10-21-2004, 08:06 PM I'm sad to say that he is right. You want bang, you better have some bucks. Get NOS :) SenseiAccord 10-22-2004, 06:52 PM basic bolt ons will make ur faster but like they said its not gonna be that noticable. Getting i/h/e does make ur car run a lot smoother tho.... i felt that. For ur exhaust i would get a magnaflow. I always wanted to get that but money was an issue and i went with this custom generic exhaust that i dont want anymore. Some things u can do is of course get a header and catback exhaust system. replace cat with test pipe, pulleys, performance spark plugs and wires, street camshaft, light weight flywheel, raise compression ratio, port and polish head, blah blah blah. Actually the best thing u can actually do it if u have a lot of miles on ur car... rebuild the engine so it runs like new. Most cars with high mileage dont put out the power it supposed to. MyAccordIsFaster 11-03-2004, 04:45 PM Hey...How much you would you be interested in selling that exaust for? I need one, and i figured id be nice and try other owners before the big dogs.. scubawrstlr 11-03-2004, 10:24 PM replace cat with test pipe, pulleys, performance spark plugs and wires, street camshaft, light weight flywheel, raise compression ratio, port and polish head, blah blah blah. What is test pipe, and does taking out the cat actually help? How do you go about raising the compression ratio. And yes my car doesn't put out the hp that it should, lol. I just want this info for future knowledge...so I can mod my new accord...as soon as I find the twin of the one you see below (plus a manual transmision) vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
