I just bought a AFE cold air intake for my 04 tacoma. Its made for an 02 tacoma but it fits and works fine on my truck. I love having it it really livens it up not to mention it made my truck sound great. I was expecting to have a CARB sticker or something in the box. But i never found anything. does anyone think i will have any warranty or smog problems??? i went with this brand instead of a K&N becasue the shop had it in stock

I don't think there is any problem with emissions caused by that intake.

I do know that in California the Police crack down hard on mods for cars/trucks. And you do have to have the CARB sticker mounted. I would stop by a local performance store and just tell them that you bought a K & N [or whatever brand air intake the store carries] and it did not come with the sticker. They more than likely will have one laying around. It's worth a try.

I sent them an E mail a few days ago and this is what i got back

Unfortunately that particular intake system is not smog legal yet. The 54-10222 is brand new so the paper work has not been completed. Check back with us in about 6 months, we should have something by then. Keep your receipt or invoice as proof of purchase.
If you have any other questions feel free to call or email at any time.
Thank you,
Melissa Harstad
