I finished my KA-T project. I'm boosting 5psi and it is awesome. Officialy a boostaholic. It took like three days to do everything but by far the worst part was putting the engine back in. I'll try and get some time slips up. If I had a working floppy drive and something other than 56k, I would post up some pics. KA power all the way.

I need to get a working floppy drive for my camera to work. I really need to have a downpipe made. Its straight pipe from the turbo now. It gets pretty loud. Scenes how I live in a pretty small town with mostly domestic V8s with flows, I was getting some pretty strange looks when the turbo was making the whirring sound(which I love) and when the BOV opened(which I also love). For those of you who don't know what I'm running:

Garrett TO4B .60ar compressor S-Trim/.69ar P-Trim turbine
RevHard manifold(BTW I think the fitment is pretty good)
Import-Autoperformance oil lines
Turbonetics evolution wastegate
Greddy type-S Blow-Off Valve(recirculated)
Vortech 8:1 Fuel Management Unit
Walbro 255lph fuel pump
Autometer boost guage, oil pressure guage, AF guage
PVC intake charge tubing
MSD Boost Timing Master
ACT Stage 1 clutch(very good clutch)
K&N cone filter

It runs great. The turbo spools around 3500-4000. I had to gap the plugs down to .35. It pulls like crazy now. First gear is almost useless. After I get the downpipe made, I'm gonna dyno it. I'll scan the results and post them up. Thanks for the support guys.

man i cant wait 2 get my car in2 the ka-t board. i really wanna do it but i got 2 rebuilt the whole block with new upgraded parts and that kind of $$$ is not in my path yet not even enough for a good intake or exhaust.

i cant wait to turbo my KA. Thats the best project ever. I will not be turboing my KA under my hood, but another KA from a junk yard, this way it can sit on the engine stand all it wants and i can still drive my 240 and i can rebuilt it with time and not rush anything and take my time. I cant wait to start this... excited just like any of you would be :biggrin:

^Thats my plan. First I want to get rid of that FMU. Suprisingly it runs good with the FMU but I would rather have something a little more exact. I'm not going over 7psi even with the intercooler and fuel system. At least not with this engine. Thanks again to everyone for support and I wish you all good luck.

SMOG check sucks!!! i bet you they gonna make the SMOG regulations here in CA so bad that people will start going back to classic cars... because that what im doing lol, already got a mustang 67 fastback, want a old chevy truck and getting a 69 camaro, SMOG regulations up their butts!!! i can polute all i want with those toys...

but thats not what i was gonna say lol... i saw a guy running like 15 psi on a stock KA internals, its not safe, but he had 400+hp hes crazy, but thats one thing we know for sure is those iron blocks that it like no other, and not to mention the shop peened crank that can handle 600HP stock...

thats awesome man, i cant wait till i turbo mine(its single cam) ill be running about 12 psi so i should get like 330hp or so, oh i cant wait, have you ran it at a track yet? if so what was your time?

did you buy everything separate or did you buy this as a kit, how much did it run you, Get That thang to da track... we need some times..

I pieced it together. I don't want to run the engine or the turbo hard until I put at least 300 miles on it. Everything together probably came out to be $2500.

sweet Ka-t I was going to do that but then I found a perfect swap car. I have a 89 A/T so I am gonna go with the swap. Ya american muscle is great as long as you are going straight. I love the twisties. My firends get pissed when I set up the lines of coke. ha ha
