i've had no luck figurin this out so any help would be great. 97 1500 v6.
just replaced a/c condensor and clutch. now clutch wont kick in to cycle system so i can charge it. any ideas? i know the clutch is not locked up cause it will spin by hand. help please!

Maybe something was missed during the swap.

if the freon level is too low, the clutch won't engage. you might need to just charge it then the clutch will engage

i have tried to charge it but i cant charge without the clutch engaging

heat the bootle of freon up before you try to charge it. It will increase the pressure, and you'll be able to shoot more in without the help of the compressor. Putting it in a bucket of hot water will do the trick. I've never worked on a car A/C, but I was a A/C tech for 5 years.
