I replaced the tranny, the car started, before we knew the battery had been boiled, we replaced the battery, the car has juice, the starter seems to have crapped out somehow. we also tried to jump the starter moter it self by using a screwdriver from the remote power to the starter still Nothing..... does this mean my starter is done?

before we tried the screwdriver on the starter it wouldn't even turn over
so far we've replaced: 1 tranny & 1 battery, am I missing something here and getting screwed because of it?

Do you have power down to the starter.
With a test light check for power

Check your wiring. Did you pinch a primary wire in the bellhousing when you bolted up?

try a jumper wire from the S-terminal to the main battery post on the solenoid. IF the starter kicks in, then you have a wiring dilemma. IF the starter doesn't kick in, you have a bad starter. If you put a test light on the s-terminal, turn the ignition to start, the light should come on, and go off when you release the key to run.

I've checked and re-checked, no wires were pinched... and we've found that the starter silinoid is bad so time for a new unit
