hi there, i just purchased some nice wheels for my 94 G20t. the rims measure 16x6.5 and have 205-55-16 tires on them. the offset is +43 and the car is stock height, meaning not lowered.

the problem is that the rear rims wont fit due to the tire hitting the rear shock perch. the front rims fit fine, becuase the clearance is a little bit more than the rears.....the dilemma is that i really dont want to purchase new tires as the tires on them are pretty new....

does anyone have this tire/rim combo on their G20? if so, did you have the same problem?

also, do you think they make a rear shock that is modified to fit a larger rim or tire size?

what do you guys think i should do? buy new tires or get adjustable coilovers? please let me know if there is a way to work around this!! thanks

also...what tire do you think might fit better on a 16" rim for a g20?

205-45-16? 205-50-16? thanks for your help

Welcome.
Check out the threads in the "suspension" etc as there is all sorts of info from the guys here and what sort of set ups they use.
It will give you plenty of ideas.
Or go to Jason's site and have a read as well

you should get a 3mm offset spacer. don't go any more than 3mm as you will have to change bolt. there are some places on the net where they make custom off set spacers. about $70 pair.
