Honda Accord Windows Slowhunko1948 10-18-2004, 02:08 PM Ever since I purchased my 1997 Honda Accord my driver side and passenger back window seems like its off the track. They go down fine but when I start bringing them up it looks like the whole window shifts back and forth and gets hung up on the rubber weatherstrip. Sometimes Ill spray some WD-40 in the rubber tracks it glides nice for a day or two and then starts binding up. Has anyone else encountered issues with their Honda Windows going up real slow? Thanks Mike  AccordCodger 10-18-2004, 02:52 PM Well, for one thing use silicone spray, not WD-40. WD-40 is a petroleum product, which dissolves rubber. hunko1948 10-19-2004, 08:12 AM Well, for one thing use silicone spray, not WD-40. WD-40 is a petroleum product, which dissolves rubber. Maybe I have done to much damage to the rubber that is there. Is it a hard job to replace the rubber? Do you need any special tools?
