when i crank my car sometimes it shuts off

when i crank my car sometimes is shuts off. I mean its not really a problem the 2nd time it starts up fine i think all i need is a good tune up and oil change. Some guy wants to charge me $80 in addition too this to see if thats what it really is. Just want my car to run not trying to pay more than i need to.

What does it sound like to you guys?
