power window motor in convertable (please help)komaweit 10-17-2004, 01:59 PM My friend has a 99 Cav Con. The power window in the pass side (front window) went and the dealership told her she has to get one specifically for a covertable. True or rip-off?? xydon1 10-18-2004, 10:48 AM In fact I just had mine go, but on the drivers side 99 and I went to Pep Boys and I think I paid like 42 bucks. They are a major pain the butt to replace as you need to drill off the rivets. Best way to replace it is to lower the window about 5 inches, then duck tape the window in place. You then need to remove the whole assembly from the car. Taping the window in place makes it easier to reinstall. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
