has nebody seen the nov. import racer mag. McKinney motorsports now has a kitk for s13/s14 to drop the rb26dett and rb25det in our beloved cars. 1,100 for the mounts *engine and tranny* 500$ for touge downpipe. They showed them using the kit in the mag. it looked like a fairly simple process. So what u all think about it?? I know they've got my attention went and checked out a 90 240 with broken tranny *$970* after reading the article. :evillol: :ylsuper:

I've heard that an aftermarket KA24 radiator (Fluydine) works or you can try to mount a Skyline rad, for the intercooler, you buy a core and have the piping made, remember, mandrel bent. I'm guessing the lines are custom to.

i also heard that a good quality aftermarfet rad. koyo for KA would work for it

intercooler would be same kind of work for the sr custom made piping cut holes etc.

relocate battery to trunk, the kit is only the mounts the lines and stuff are custom mostly i guess

Actually, for the SR, the engine was made for the chassis so you can by piping from GReddy, HKS, etc. But you're right about Koyo.

Koyo's Suck They Actually Cause Overheats Rather Than Solve Them.... They Are Too Thick With Too Many Fins.

Fuel Lines You Can Use The Stock Lines Just Connect It To The Inlet Port On The Rb26 Rail. Tranny Lines? Your Going To Automagic? If You Are You Can Adapt The 240sx Lines To Work. Fmic You're On Your Own As There Is No Direct Bolt-in Kit For The Rb26 Like There Is For The Rb20 And 25.

Btw: Mckinney Has Been A Pilot Company For These Swaps... And There Product Has Been Out For Over A Year Now. One Thing About Mckinney Is There Products Are Great But Expect To Wait Months For Products Or Service. If Your In The Az Area I Can Give You The Number To A Really Good Shop That Does Swaps And They Look Like They Came With The Car Originally.

Thanks musicsurfman i plan on leaving the car manual. The fuel line issue helps alot i fig. with the engine swap that it might not get it enough fuel. I live in KY but thanks for the offer, plus friends, dad, and me want to do this ourselves. That helps alot knowing now that i just need to custom fab the Fmic. If u do a s15 conversion can you still use the kit?

"Have you ever seen a man eat his own head?"

"no"

Mynismo: There Are 5 People In Az That Bought Koyos And Sold Them Because Of Them Not Cooling Enough.... They Switch To A Half The Cost, Better Cooling, Modine Copper Brass Radiator And Have Had Much Better Cooling.

I Installed A Koyo In My Eclipse And It Sucks The Engine Bay Is Alot Hotter..... If They Lowered The Fin Count Or Used Wider Tubes It'd Be Alot Better.
