thanks.
PS. if anyones got one lying around or would like to sell theirs, it has to be in good working condition, pm me or email at alesserfate@hotmail.com i'll be glad to give a good price for a good item.. thanks..

you can also use a couple of diffrent ones for your car. I used a 300ZX n/a dif, i got it for 50$ so look around in junk yard.

also you should use SEARCH and see what kinds you can use and what axles. That will add some selection and make it easier to find one

hey, thanks man, yes i did look around but it seems to me what fits is 91-93 240sx ones, cause i specifically want a vlsd, and i dont think i have the skills to grind the shafts or anything like that, jsut gonna try to find one that bolts on.

there are actually a few that bolt up perfectly. But it is confusing, im probaly going to get mine from these people

www.lsauto.com

there was someone on this board a long way back that got it from them.

Not that expensive either

Their VLSD's are $500 shipped...it's on the high end...JSPEC is about $450 shipped when they have them and PDM is $475 and $60-80 shipping (these come cleaned painted and polished up though).

I am not bashing the prices. There is not a lot of markup considering these guys have to hunt these down, store them, stand behind them.

Now LS claims they can get the non-abs versions which is what I got from JSPEC. It was perfect other than one bolt that's leaking (got bumped in shipping maybe)...I am going to R&R the gasket with the $4 Felpro and some RTV. Many say there are no problems using the non-abs driveshaft with an abs VLSD, however, I doubt Nissan would go through the tooling costs of producing two driveshafts if not necessary.

LSAuto seems to have a lot of cool parts though (upgraded axles being one of the ones). Hope that company does well.

Now you *maybe* can find one in a junkyard cheap, however, in my area they don't have them and J30, 300ZX or 240SX they will usually pull the VLSD's out if they come in....$250 and up locally no guarantee. Ebay is another source but I am seeing the average about $300 with shipping, again no warranty.

To me that extra $100 to solve problems is worth it on a $300+ part. I still want the quaiffe eventually.
