And Dealer Says The Sensor Is Frozen $1200 Rear Exhaust Manifold Has To Be Replaced. This Time My Local Mechanic Said He Could Only Get A Few Turns And It Locked Up. Thinks Manufacturing Problem. Has Anybody Else Had Similar Problems? What Are Your Suggestions? Please Help.

I have a 1998 Avalon XLS and the Check Engine light came on for no good reason yesterday. I took it to Advance Auto and they read the Trouble Code of P0135 (told me it was the Oxygen Sensor and that it would be $200-$300 for the part from Bosch). Does this sound right? The car runs fine except for the Check Engine light being on. Is it about to NOT run fine? Should I not drive it? (Please help - I know nothing about Toyota's). Thanks, Jason.
