How to re-set dash to english from german?German730i_BMW 10-15-2004, 06:00 AM How do i re-set my dash from german to english. I have a 1989 730i (german spec) E32 M30. I wasnt aware that this could be possible, so if it is, how do i do it? redhed 10-15-2004, 08:06 PM There should be a switch just like the one to re-set your triptometer in the dash, on the opposite side from the triptometer reset. (It's to the right of your display). Put the key in the ignition and turn it to battery power, but don't turn the car on. Hold that switch in for about 10 or 15 seconds, and it will scroll through the different languages. When it comes to "English", let go. That's how my '88 735i works, and I'm assuming yours is the same. German730i_BMW 10-20-2004, 03:05 AM Thanks for the help, I will let you know if it works later, didnt drive the car to work today. German730i_BMW 10-22-2004, 04:01 AM Well I tried it out yesterday, after getting home from work, and it changed to english, awesome, now i can read what its saying. Thanks for the help. redhed 10-22-2004, 10:00 AM No problem. You're very welcome. When I first got mine, I had the same problem and someone here helped me. Glad to pass it on. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
