O2 sensors

My cats are shot on my '88 so I am going to cut them out and weld in pipe. My question is if I have to use O2 sims or will I not have to worry on this old a car?

You will have to worry, you're engine management system relies on those O2 sensors to run the engine correctly.
You maybe able to find simulators but, I would just replace them. And if you do replace them your gas mileage will improve.

dude please do not do away with the cats (depending what state you live in concerning emissions laws) but if your state has no emissions laws go for it. also get new o2 sensors motor craft ones for an 88 will be 2 types
