hey is a mr2 spyder the right car for me?bugmenot 10-13-2004, 06:03 PM lately i have been driving alot fo go karts and if you know mike manning in california i may go there soon with my uncle cause my uncle knew him for a long time. i basically want a car that revs medium to high in the rpms plus i foudn a nice turbo kit for the spyder. i basically want a car that handles like a go kart that just zips around corners and if you turn to fast you get oversteer, all i really car about in a car is its handling, next comes brakes then acceleration. if i add on a TRD suspension package and i get some drilled/slotted rotors then a turbo kit do you think it is the right car for me? i am in high school right now and i know your probably gonna say that i need more experience driving but trust me i know my capabilities. im not saying im pro but ive been driving go karts/car with a stick shift. i admit i am a bit on the rich side but i do not want to flash it in a car i want a car that is known for its handling that is priced as a first car. tell me if i should get this car for a first car or not. jmrev 10-13-2004, 09:53 PM mr2 is a great car, i mean if you have all of those mods go ahead and buy one. NSX-R 12-19-2004, 10:25 PM The mr2 spyder can be really fast if you put the celica gts motor in it awsome!!!!!!!!! scarecrowX 12-20-2004, 02:36 AM how tall are you? i'm 6'2. i didn't particularly care for the driving position in the spyder since it didn't have tilt. steering wheel sat too low. if you're a bit on the rich side and you want a gokart, screw the spyder. get a lotus elise. Im JDM Yo 12-21-2004, 03:37 PM +1 on the lotus elise. The lotus elise is like the MR2 Spyder on PCP. 200SXGTi-R 12-21-2004, 04:04 PM http://hassautoworks.com/mr2.htm here you go TRD2000 12-21-2004, 08:23 PM as far as the mr2 first car queries goes that sounds like one of the most realistic i've seen! go kart experience is great, not after the whole power thing most guys seem to be... go for it, it'll be good seeing how those hair dresser mkIII's go with the proper attn. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
