This was their top of the line radio I believe for 94.

From new this raidio never held the stations good and whats really weird is the thing has two antennas!! Normal power one on front right and one on the passenger side in the rear window yet it's the worst radio I ever had.

The 3 pack CD sounds pretty good but the raido itself leaves staions fade in and out constantly and even when it does hold a staion the sound is tinty on it.

Anyone else have the same complaint?

Check your antennas, see if they are connected correctly. The best way is to probably get a new radio though.

There is supposed to be a way to get DX for distance reception by going tune /seek, but I agree check the antenna or connection to the back of the Radio. If you do get DX remeber you may recieve more than one station on the same frequency.

The 2 antennas are for AM and FM. On the back, the bigger plug in is the FM and the smaller one is the AM, make sure these are in the right holes.

The connections are right, as I inspected them years ago.

The radio does hold stations but as you drive they fade just a hair on & off . To some it might not bother (my wife doesn't hardly notice) but to me it's enough to shut it off. Very annoying!

That 3 pack CD works well though. Funky how it comes out & goes in to change a disc.

The window antenna is called the diversity antenna. It is used as an alternative FM antenna when it has a stronger signal than the mast antenna.

It is likely that radio is not switching between the two antennae correctly or the connections on the antennae are not good. Check the connection on the diversity antenna also.
