1993 Lin Twn Car Dash won't light up????

I have a '93 Lincoln Town Car. The message Center won't light up. The other lights for the a/c and heat come on, but not the messaging system. Can't tell how much gas i have or how fast i am going? what could be wrong??? Please tell me it's not gong to be expensive. It's the only problem i am having except for the fast that i have had to replac all the power window motors on all the doors.

Do you mean the entire electronic cluster does not light up?

If you have the owners manual look up the location of the fuse for the cluster and see if it is burnt out, if it is usually other things will not work as well.

Do you have the lights on? If they are try turning the headlamp switch as far to the left and see if it brightens before the interior lights come on.

Other than that you really can't replace a bulb and be done with it. These clusters use a Vacuum Florescent display that cannot be serviced, Replacement is usually the norm. The only part that uses a bulb would be the Gearshift indicator, P R N D 2 1 .

yes i have tried all the head lamps and the dimmer. it just stopped coming on. and it's only the message center that won't light up anymore. So its' not the computer then right? Because everything else is fine. The car runs GREAT!!!! so what part do you think i would need to replace? Thanks for all the advice.
