i have had my car for about 3 years now and i still dont know kow this.when my gas light comes on in my 2000 mustang. how much gas do i have b4 it really runs out. does anyone know this.

get a gas can and fill it. bout 2 gallons. then drive till you run out of gas. then you'll know.

well i didnt really want to do that, that why i asked here if anyone has done that or know what it is.

if you still have the book on it it should tell you. if i rember right it is about 1/16th of the tank left.

you know, i never looked in the book, yeah i still have it, ill take a look at it
