Does anyone know how to either remove or disable the speed governor on a 99 4 Runner. The army is sending me to Germany and I would like to be able to drive faster then 120mph. Thanks

You have to buy a new chip for the ECU. The stock chip cannot be modified and it is not removable by design.

You could go to www.jegs.com and get one of those diagnostic computers that calibrates everything to what you want, still leaving the factory settings in memory. But over 120+ is really pushing it, lol.

Stay away from Jet products. Gadget had no performance increase with their ECU upgrade. The chip from ELPrototypes did exactly what he wanted, including eliminating the speed governor.
