3m Tranny Vs Lhs Tranny
DARKANGEL01 10-10-2004, 06:57 AM Is The 3ms Tranny The Same As The Lhs With The Exception Of The Manuel Shifting? If So It Should Only Be A Swap From One Car To The Other Right? LHSDriver01 10-10-2004, 01:55 PM 300m and 99+LHS share the exact same trans. (before 99 is slightly different but can be made to work) The manual shifting is controled by the computer in the engine compartment. What has to be done to make this work? LHSDriver01 10-11-2004, 08:38 PM The LHS can be converted to autostick, you need to change the TCM, the gauge cluster, the shifter, and the shifter bezel. Plus run wires from the shfiter to the TCM for the shift up and down signal. Not really too dificult just a lot of $$$ for all the needed parts. A lot of guys with Intrepids have done this already. Why didn't chrysler do it for the LHS at the factory? Probably if no other reason to make the 300m a more sporty car, and the LHS more of a luxury car. AWP9521 10-12-2004, 05:09 PM Autostick was an available option on Intrepid, Concorde, and LHS vehicles, I believe Autostick was standard on Intrepid R/T and 300M. LHSDriver01 10-12-2004, 07:03 PM Actully Autostick was not on the options list for the second generation LHS, but since all the parts are the same, it is possible AutomotiveHelper.com, Copyright ©2013
