A Civic, Del Sol, and Prelude= Slowest Race in the UniverseCivRacer95 10-09-2004, 12:49 PM So last night, friday night. Busiest night for racing. Up and down the main you see races at every red light possible. I love it. Gets the adrenaline going easy. My buddies and I were cruising. We honestly have to be the slowest crew of racers here in the valley. Well, not slowest but none of us have a fast car, or even a car to be considered racing. The strip is three lanes wide, and most stop lights are about 1/2 mile to a mile apart. So you can see why there are a lot of races going on. So my buddies and I have never actually competed our hondas. We love Hondas as you can already tell. So we decided to put them to the test against each other. We weaved in and out of traffic until we could find a good light where we can race. Alright I usually do this so I will give you guys a little detail about our cars: Mine: 95 Civic Ex Coupe, intake, exhaust and an APexi VAFC Prelude: just a welded on exhaust, nothing else, and a shitty driver. HA! Del sol: average intake and exhaust, nothing special. Ok, back to the strip. So finally we get our light and are revving our engines, giving each other a thumbs up :loser:'s. Yeah we are. You can hear other cars behind us doing so. Finally the crossing light turns yellow, then red. But the turning light only turn green, but the del sol jumps the line, and me and the guy in the prelude laught as he backs up behind the line. Alright the turning lane is finally turning yellow. Now we are impatient. My legs are shaking at this point, but the light turns green and me and the del sol launch. Ok, remember I told you the prelude driver is shitty? So he proved himself once again. HE STALLED HIS CAR!!! Bwah hah ha.... So anyway, the del sol and I take off, and I easily had him. Through out 1st all the way to 4th I blew him away. Well, by 3 car lengths anyway. I over exaggerated. And that was that. But my buddy in the prelude came flying up on us, signaled the kill, and slowed down to us. We both looked over and he was laughing histerically. So we all pulled over and laughed. Me and the del sol driver gave him a hard time, and he said that he popped the clutch, thus stalling his car. Oh well, this race wasn't very exciting, to most but to us it was a thrill. Later on some guys in a mustang flew, by us and gave us a thumbs up. They shouted, "That was the slowest damn race ever!" We gave them the thumbs up and replied with "WE KNOW!". Later that night we each had our own races. Got hammered, but went home with our dignity between our legs. Well, I enjoyed it, hope you guys get a good kick out of it. Late... 10sec-Hopeful 10-09-2004, 12:55 PM AHHHHH! Attack of the Hondas!!!! I see this everywhere haha. Just playin man, sounds like fun. Ok, I have a confession to make : My VERY VERY first race I was so eager that I both jumped the line AND stalled my car, so tell your buddies its ok haha. I'm MUCH better now, but I remember the feeling of wanting to kick my own teeth in hah. Sounds like a fun night. Hah, my little bro loves Acuras/Hondas and says way to represent. Haha i3o2Matt 10-09-2004, 02:28 PM haha :1: attack of the hondas...thatz good..haha i've never popped the clutch while racin, but i've done it when i was tryin to drive forward while still driftin back from goin in reverse once or twice...i got laughed at for that because it was obvious because i have a loud exhaust...haha o well...shyt happens...lol CassiesMan 10-09-2004, 02:42 PM Well hey, thats what racing is about. I know it sounds cliche, but really, win or loose, it really is all about having fun. Good kill, stay safe, and have fun. 98gtstang 10-09-2004, 04:02 PM sweet, what kind of speeds did you guys hit in ur hondas? what size engin dose ur bud in the del sol have? nice race stay safe mand peace.
