I thought that it was a pretty good idea for you.
I just thought that the door molding would hold a lot of dirt due to the rough surface.

Herculined my rocker panels and the plastic trim in between the front and rear bumpers (except the body-side moldings.) The Herculiner went on pretty easily, and I think it looks pretty cool, too. Kind of odd to see the red paint contrast w/ black instead of grey, but it matches my ARB a lot better now.

The rocker panels only took light sanding to get the clearcoat and some of the undercoat off (per Herculiner's instructions), I went with rougher grit sandpaper on the plastic parts to make it stick but it seems to be holding on there fine.

Hmmm...I was thinking something along the same lines, except using 3M clear tape across the rocker panels.

Schlud--that could work, too. My rockers were/are pretty mangled up (wheeled the truck way too hard before getting my sliders, oh well...) so something like tape wouldn't have really stuck to them. I like the Herculiner because it fills in the dents and gouges pretty well...

It's not often that you see a truck with a bigger spare tire :)

How does the truck feel with the AT's?

Must be a lot quieter.

Mobycat was joking over the weekend that I kept the Swamper up there so that once I got stuck with my AT's, I could swap it on to the wheel w/ the least traction and drive right out of there. :)

The truck feels a lot less "truck-like" to me, and I am driving a bit faster these days because I can't rely on the pitch of my tires to tell me how fast I'm going... :(

Truck also has a LOT more highway power, and it stops much better.

I can't fishtail around wet corners for fun (abandoned roads, parking lots, yadda yadda yadda) the way you can w/ Swampers...the AT's just have a lot more bite on wet pavement. All that siping I guess.

Having said all that...
I can't wait to put my Swampers back on!!! :D

(I'm driving nearly 150 miles a day for work right now, so it just doesn't make sense to leave the Swampers on since my next wheeling trip isn't til the end of the month.)
